I just love this outfit. It's fun, it's practical, and it's affordable. What more do you need in an outfit, right? The top comes in two colors (the other is aqua), and looks really cute with shorts too! My jeans are only $68 and the perfect addition to any weekend wardrobe. Fringy raw cut hems are trending right now too, and these are good quality for the price point! I also fell in love with this necklace at Nordstrom the other day. I was standing at the counter, and happened to see the collection out of the corner of my eye and ended up going home with it. Tassel necklaces are a great way to add a little interest to any simple outfit, especially when they're neutral in color - they go with everything!
We are headed to Charleston this weekend for wedding planning meetings! Eek, I'm actually really excited to nail down some of the details. Shane on the other hand, will probably be bored to tears - haha. Poor thing! Stay tuned on Instagram Stories for snippets of our planning!
I hope you all had a great weekend! It was such a beautiful day in Charlotte today. We went to a wedding last night, so today was all about relaxing around the house!
I've had quite the romper obsession lately. I feel like everything I find and like, is either a romper or jumper at the moment. But hey, whatever works! Am I right? The color of this brings out the inner sun goddess in me. I don't know what it is about bright colors, but I love them all. I also just purchased this romper today, and cannot wait to wear it! Talk about flattering. Anyway, I tend to gravitate towards pieces that have high necks like halters in the summer, and turtlenecks in the fall. I'm a smaller chested person, so the high neck takes attention away from what's lacking, if you know what I mean. I also really appreciate that it's not skin tight, and long enough to cover my hiney appropriately! It also comes in a really pretty floral print which you can find here.
Side note: Do ya'll ever get the Sunday scaries? Someone send me a cure, they're in full force tonight!
When you find a $26 (currently on sale) romper that looks like this... you buy it! Ya'll there are so many good rompers out there right now! I never used to be a romper person because I'm so tall and most of them fit funky, but recently I've come across a few really flattering ones. I like them because they're easy. To me, there's nothing better than not having to worry about which top goes with what bottom, and vice versa. Like a dress, a romper only needs a few accesories and you're out the door. I also like that this one combines halter ties with the off the shoulder look. While I like off the shoulder pieces, they're sometimes not so practical depending on the activity. Because this one ties around the neck, that'll never be an issue! This print also comes in a dress, and the romper comes in an additional print as well which you can find here!
I'm so ready for the weekend! One of my good friends is getting married on Saturday, and we have an engagement party for another girlfriend of mine Friday! Busy busy :)
For those of you who are married, or maybe currently engaged - you'll know exactly what I mean when I say this. Once I got engaged, this little light bulb went off in my head and everything that came in white, needed to get in my closet... now. I never bought a lot of white before being engaged, and now that section of my color coded closet is growing by the day! So, when this LWD came out at Impressions Boutique, you know it was a must!
The lace, the open back, the hidden pockets... this $59 dress makes all your LWD dreams come true! Not to mention, ya'll already know I like to eat, so thank the lord for this not being skin tight because when the fam comes into town for wedding festivities, we tend to eat... a lot. I kept my accesories fairly neutral for this look, but you could easily spice this dress up for a vacation, even if you aren't engaged or honeymooning, by adding a cute statement necklace like this one, and a bright colored clutch!
If you haven't heard of Impressions Online Boutique, take a look! They have the cutest new arrivals at reasonable price points for everyone. And if you're a bride like me, check out their bridal boutique!
Shane and I had our engagement party this weekend! We had so much fun, ya'll! I'm so sad it's over. Would ya'll want to see a blogpost on that for Wedding Wednesday?

If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen that we took our engagement photos last week! So today, I will be sharing them with you!
We got engaged in December (you can read how/where we got engaged here), so I wanted to wait until Spring when the weather was warmer to take our photos. We originally planned to take our photos the weekend of April 7-9th in Charleston, however, Shane got really sick a few days before that weekend and we ended up having to postpone. We rescheduled for a different location closer to home for logistics reasons, and of course it rained all.day.long. I was slightly panicking when 3:30 PM rolled around and the skies were still gray, and the rain was still falling. However, god must have been on my side this day because about two hours before our scheduled shoot time, the skies opened up, the sun came out, and the light was so dreamy y'all!
Anyway, when we first started planning and deciding on vendors I knew pictures were single handedly the most important thing to me. The way I see it, at the end of the day the only tangible thing left from an engagment and wedding, are the photos. I love bright, vibrant, airy pictures, so my quest for the perfect photographer came down to two very similar photographers and we ended up landing with the amazing Jessi Nichols of Jessi Nichols Photography. It was also really important to me to have a photographer I could connect with! While Jessi and I had crossed paths in Clemson, we didn't actually know each other outside of social media. However, I had read many of her blog posts and Instagram captions and knew I loved her already (insert heart eyes emoji). Isn't it funny how you feel like you already know someone based off of their online presence?! In short, we love her.
I wanted a backdrop similar to what we originally planned in Charleston, so I researched a few hashtags that pulled up different wedding photographers photos and took a look at the locations they tagged in our area. I kept coming across pictures taken at "The Ivy Place" and loved every single one of them. So, we decided that would be our new location! We also had friends who did their engagement session there, which was the perfect affirmation that it would be sure to impress!
In terms of outfits, I wanted to know where we were taking our pictures prior to planning what to wear. With that being said, I felt like our new location was perfect for a more casual look. And honestly, that's our personality anyways. It was important to me that we tried to wear light colored solids as I felt like that looked better together, and created less "clashing." And ofcourse, I wanted to wear white for one of our looks.
Okay so this was way longer than I anticipated it to be, but I hope you enjoy them and can't wait to hear what you think. Thanks for reading!
