TJD Golden Island Jumpsuit

Happy Monday, everyone! I can't wait to talk about this Golden Island Jumpsuit - mainly because it's so comfortable. I wore this out one night last week, and couldn't get over how fun and flattering it was. It has a super relaxed fit, halter neckline, hand pockets and a stretch waist for when you eat too much! I also really like the little pom pom details along the neckline and subtle stitching down the pant leg. This is another one of those outfits that's just super quick and easy, yet looks like you "tried."

I spent a few days last week and this weekend back in Charleston! My mom flew in from Seattle to do a little wedding planning Thursday, and my sister joined us Friday for her birthday! We had such a great girls weekend filled with lots of good food, cocktails, and even a little beach time. Charleston is one of our favorite places to visit. We were reminiscing on the fact that my first time there was for Miss Teen South Carolina 2008, and now I'm getting married there - who would've thought!?

Bright White Athleisure + Healthy Eating Recipes

Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is having a great week so far! We came to Charleston for a girls weekend yesterday, and it's been so nice being off work for a few days!

I feel like I always talk about Instagram on my blog, but, if you follow me on stories then you may know that I've been following Kayla Itsines 14 day meal plan for the last week. Memorial Day Weekend has gotten a little in the way of following it to a "T", but outside of a few "cheat" meals I've stuck to it accordingly. I've always been really into fitness and trying to eat healthy, but here lately we've been so busy that the eating part of life, was far from healthy. A few of you mentioned interest in seeing some of the recipes on the blog, so today I want to share a couple that have been super easy, tasty, and healthy so far!

Baked Eggs
20g of low fat cheese
2 eggs
Small handful of spinach
2 button mushrooms chopped (1/4 cup)
1/2 medium tomato chopped
2 tbsp water

Preheat oven to 360F, grease ramekin with coconut oil. In a large bowl, add the eggs and water. Whisk to combine. Add the spinach, mushrooms, tomato and stir to combine. Transfer the egg mixture to your ramekin. Top with low fat grated cheese.

Bake in your preheated oven for 15-20 minute or until the egg mixture is cooked and golden.

This is by far one of my favorite recipes within the plan! I doubled the recipe and made it in an 8X8 baking dish so Shane could have some too. I also cut the bake into four sections, and put it in a to go container so we could take it to work with us for convenience, and it held perfectly! Shane doesn't eat cheese (so weird I know) so I did leave cheese off of half of the bake. Simple, easy, and healthy! We will be incorporating this one into our weekly diet after the plan is over. I added this recipe to the "My Fitness Pal" app, and it contains roughly 150 calories, 5 grams of fat, and 19 grams of protein.

Avo Smash
Rye Crackers
1 Avocado
60g low fat Feta
1/2 cup of chickpeas

In a small bowl, mash the chickpeas and avocado until chunky paste has formed. Season with himalayan sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Spread the Avocado mixture on top of cracker. Crumble feta on top of mixture and serve!

Another favorite of mine! I've eaten this three times so far, and can't get over how delicious it is. I added this recipe to the "My Fitness Pal" app to see what the nutritional value was and it's roughly 450 calories, 28 grams of fat (good fat from the Avocado), 17 grams of protein (this is amazing), and high in fiber. I know this seems high in fat and calories, but these are the fat and calories that your body needs to refuel. I also follow her BBG program (high intensity training), meaning my body needs these calories to rebuild on a regular basis.

Hopefully these are helpful! Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing additional recipes!

Floral Shorts Under $100

This is by far, one of my favorite outfits of the season! I wore it to a birthday dinner last weekend and just can't get enough of it! It's hard for me to find shorts that aren't too short, or too tight (big booty problems), and still look cute high-waisted. These are comfortable, figure flattering, and affordable. I also love the ruffle detail on the bottom of them! My top was a perfect match for the shorts, and could easily be re-styled with any type of high-wasited denim. I had been on the hunt for a new pair of wedges that are lighter in color for months, and finally came across these Steve Maddens. The neutral color pairs well with just about any outfit, and the wedge makes them easier to walk in then your traditional heeled sandal.

I hope you all had a great holiday weekend! We had so much fun out on the lake and are already looking forward to the next outing. This is an extra short week for me as I'm headed back down to Charleston for a girls weekend with my mom and sister tomorrow!

Swimwear under $50

Memorial Day Weekend is almost here, and I couldn't be more excited! For the past few years, we've rented a boat on Lake Norman with a big group of friends, and it's always such a good time! With that being said, I'm always looking for a festive bathing suit to wear to show my pride and this $48 striped one piece from Impressions Boutique is perfect for the occasion!

It fits TTS (I'm wearing a small) and feels great! If you remember my blogpost and one piece suit from the Dominican Republic in February, you may remember me talking about how the suit was cut higher around the hips. This striped one piece is cut that way, too! It's so flattering and really helps elongate your legs! I also think it just looks more natural than being cut across the hips. The straps are adjustable, and the bust came fully lined - highly recommend!

The second suit I'm wearing is just the cutest! I love the coral color, and ya'll already know how I feel about florals. I put this on and immediately wanted to be teleported to Hawaii (anyone with me here?). I wore the top of this uncrossed, however, it can also be worn crossed at the neck! My only reccomendation on this one is to size down on the top if you are smaller busted, I'm wearing a small and it was slightly loose around my back. An extra small would've been perfect! I also want to point out that the top and bottom are both only $24 each! That's a killer deal for a great quality swimsuit.

Head to Impressions website to checkout the full swimwear line which launches tonight! Lots of great pieces for summer at the beach, lake or pool!

Alo Coast Capris

It's finally Friday! Can I get a hallelujah?! We have a jam packed weekend (per usual), but lots of fun stuff going on! Check out Instagram stories tomorrow to see us shop for Bridesmaid dresses, eek!

Today I want to talk about these Alo Coast Capri workout pants! I was on a mission to find a white legging for the gym that wasn't see through, that didnt pill, kept me cool, and had a high-waist. Ya I know, not high maintenance or anything - haha. Alo is one of my favorite yoga brands. The quality of the product is generally great, and the price point is slightly lower than some of your big box retailers. The mesh insets in these offer breathability, and are figure flattering! I also like that the material is super stretchy, it's not contricting in the least bit. So if you're looking for a pant that sucks you in just about everywhere, this isn't it.

My tank comes in three colors, and is by far my favorite tank to workout in. It's made out of Silverescent Technology, so it feels slinky and breathable! It also has a tie up back that I appreciate when trying to do burpees or anything that requires jumping in the gym (BBG requires a ton of jumping). I typically just tie the shirt up for the full workout, especially if my pants are high-wasited.

Have a great weekend, ya'll - xoxo.
