The LBD You Want For Summer

It's currently sunny and 75 degrees, and I'm having serious FOMO because I'm stuck inside working! Ya'll, the struggle is real. Spring always reminds me of when I was in college. The first few beautiful days we had every year, always meant we were skipping class and hitting the pool or the lake! Adult life, you're not near as cool.

Anyway, this dress has everything going for it. It's under a $100, the highneck halter is flattering, it's super comfortable, and the low back is perfect for summer! I'm wearing a small, and it fits TTS. I dressed it up for a dinner date, but you could also throw on a pair of flats and add a hat for the perfect daytime look!

PS: You can get 10% off of it with code "CANDY" at checkout!

Floral Dress in Charleston

I wore this look in Charleston last weekend for Fashion Week. I've mentioned this before, but I cannot get enough of all things Show Me Your Mumu! If you're not familiar with the brand, click the link and check it out - it's a game changer. All of their clothes immediately take me to a dreamy place! I know I probably sound crazy, but I really can't get enough.

This is the Lo Lace Up Mini Dress, which comes in several different prints. I love how vibrant this is, and ya'll already know how I feel about an open back! The material drapes right over your body, and has a little bit of give and take/stretch in it, making it perfect for a night out with your girl gang, or dinner with the hubby. If you're more of a festival kind of girl, you can easily dress this down by adding booties and a hat.

It's hard to believe it's almost Friday again, this week flew by! I'm off on another adventure this weekend. Can you guess where I'm headed? Follow along on Instagram Stories to find out!

Off The Shoulder Ruffles

Spring florals are in bloom! I am so happy the warmer weather seems to finally be arriving, and hopefully it's here to stay. I'm a sucker for anything off the shoulder and lately, my floral collection has been growing by the day! This top is perfect for spring and summer, and would look great with jeans too! The material it is made out of is super soft, so you almost forget it's there. It also comes in navy, which would look so cute with white jeans! You can view the entire Clayton collection here. On another note, my shoes are worth mentioning because they're a Nordstrom exclusive and the most comfortable booties I've ever owned! The sizing runs a little odd, so make sure to size down one size.

I've been feeling a little overwhelmed lately with trying to plan/coordinate the wedding, work full time, and keep up with my blog posts - so please bare with me as I know my posts have been a little delayed.

My Sunday Best

Align Pant // Crop Top // Nike Running Shoes // Louis Vuitton Handbag (similar here) // Link Bracelet // Watch // Cocktail Ring

My mom always told me growing up, that Sundays are the day of rest. Therfore, if you happen to catch me on a Sunday, 9 times out of 10 I look like this. Except I usually don't have makeup on, and my hair is dirty and in a bun. I love love love this entire look! My crop tee was just released in a new color, and I've already added it to my cart. These tee's do not stay in stock (try saying that fast 3 times out loud)! I was holding off on writing this blog post because the top wasn't fully stocked in any of the 5 color options, until today! The cropped length of this shirt pairs perfectly with high rise bottoms and is great for easy layering.  I also really like that the fabric is made of Lycra! This helps the top from losing it's shape, and makes it nice and stretchy as well! I also cannot rave about these Align pants enough! They are engineered to feel like a second layer of skin, so much so that I literally forget I even have them on sometimes. Not kidding! The waistband is also super soft, and lies flat against your waist nicely. These come in 7 color options, and I own pretty much all of them!

See this blogpost, and this post for some of the other colors I have! I also just scooped up these olive ones, xoxo.

Tularosa Romper in the Dominican Republic

It's a gloomy, rainy, Monday in Charlotte and all I can think about lately is summer! I swear I should've been a summer baby because there's something about the sun that just makes me so happy. Anyway, I wore this romper to dinner one night in the Dominican, and I'm hooked! I'm tempted to buy it in the second print (here). I never used to be a romper girl because most of them aren't long enough through the torso for my 5'8" frame, but that's not the case with this one. I also really like that the sleeves are full length and not capped, and that this is a looser fit - leaving plenty of room for the "all you can eat" part of our resort!

The accessories I added to this look, really made the outfit! My shoes are new, and matched the romper perfectly. They have a thick wedge on them, but they aren't too steep. So, they were actually a dream to walk in! I also love love love this Pyramid Y necklace I scooped up at fashion week in New York earlier this year! It's the perfect accent piece for this neckline. I've been wearing it nonstop! I can always count on Baublebar for a good set of accessories!

We've got a busy week ahead of us again! I'm headed to Charleston on Friday for Charleston Fashion Week, and can't wait to share the experience with you all via Instagram Stories! Stay tuned!

Instagram Round-up - The Dominican Republic

Happy Hump Day! We are halfway through the week, so I thought I'd give ya'll a little spring/summer inspiration with a highly requested Instagram round up from my Dominican vacation!

I've gotten a lot of questions about sizing in the Show Me Your Mumu clothes I've posted lately. I always wear a small in their clothes, including both tops and bottoms, and this dress!

Show Me Your Mumu Rancho Mirage Tunic Dress c/o Boem // Handbag // Hat // Link Bracelet // Gladiator Sandals (old, similar here)

Of all the bathing suits I own, I think this is my favorite! I love that one pieces are back in, and this one is so flattering in all areas! I really like how high cut it is around the hips. We took this picture in two seconds after being on the boat all day!

Okay, I guess I have a lot of favorites because this combination gets me excited everytime I see it! Have you ever seen something match more perfectly!? I mentioned this on my Instagram, but if I could only wear one pair of shorts for the rest of my life, it would be these!

Bringing the retro vibes back with this one! These pants were unbelievably comfortable and cool.

Show Me Your Mumu Bam Bam Bells // OTS Top // Clutch (color not available)

It isn't a vacation, without a maxi! The print on this, and florals in general are giving me all the heart eyes right now!

I am going to blog about this romper, but here's a quick reminder of how perfect it is! It comes in two prints.

A bathing suit that doesn't break the bank is always a winner in my book! One of the biggest bathing suit trends this spring and summer is the threading on this suit, you'll see a decent amount of brands with their own version of this.

We stayed at the Melia Caribe hotel in the Dominican and had such a blast! I'm so sad it's already over, and can't stop thinking about summer! Is anyone else super fooled after a tropical vacation?! I'm struggling getting back into sweaters!

Cheers to reminiscing over frozen drinks and crystal clear water, have a great night my friends!
