Cozy in Koolaburra on Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve! Can ya'll believe that!? Where did the time go... I feel like I keep saying that, but goodness this year just flew by. We are headed to my sisters house near Clemson today to spend the holidays with my family, and I'm really looking forward to some quality time with the people I love! We are all so spread out across the country it's a rare occasion for the whole family to be together in one place, and my favorite little fur baby gets to join in on the festivities this year!  If you're a regular around here, then you already know I live for the cozy vibes so it's no surprise I dressed for the occasion today. I'm super excited about my new Koolaburra Sulana Short boots! Shane likes to keep our house and the car an icebox, so my feet are usually cold but these Koolaburra boots are lined with sheepskin so they keep everything warm and toasty! They're also under $100 and Ugg's sister company, so if you're looking for a more affordable option - these are great. Super comfortable, and I love the exposed collar and buckle details.

A DIY Hair Mask Worth Trying

Finding the right hair regimen can be a challenge. As you may already know, I've been going through what I call "hair-rehab" for the last year in the name of restoring the health and natural shine to my hair after extensive heat, color, and styling damage. With that said, I've tried out numerous products from new styling tools, to masks, and treatments, and while some work others don't. So, today I want to talk about Pantene's first at-home rescue treatment, Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots which will be hitting shelves in the US in January 2019.

When Pantene reached out to to try the new Intense Rescue Shots, and being that I'm currently hair obsessed, I jumped at the opportunity to potentially find a new product that works. So, you're probably wondering what this product claims to do, correct? Ideal for color-treated and heat-styled hair of all types, the Intense Rescue Shots claim to noticeably repair damaged hair in just one use. I pay over $30 every other week for treatments at a salon to help restore moisture, shine, and the overall health of my hair - therefore, when I heard I could potentially get these same results at home and for a lot less money, it only made sense to try it out.

So how does it work? "The single-dose tube contains a deeply absorbing blend of Pro-Vitamin B5, strengthening lipids and natural glycerin that targets the damaged areas to give hair the flexibility and resilience it needs to endure styling and environmental stresses." The lipids in the shot are meant to be absorbed into the hair, rather than coating it like other masks. You can use it once a week in place of your regular conditioner, coating the hair from roots to tips and targeting trouble areas specifically. For me, this is the crown area of my hair as I see the most breakage from styling and hair-ties in that area. You leave the Intense Rescue Shots in for 30 seconds, and then rinse for 30 seconds and that's all there is to it. Be sure to not over-rinse!

So, what are my overall thoughts on the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots? Well, my hair feels noticeably softer and lighter weight post use. It also has a nice shine to it and definitely feels less dry and brittle. I'm interested in trying this out religiously once a week over an extended period of time to see how it helps the overall health of my hair!
