27 days, 1 hour, and 24 minutes till... fall ya'll!! But whose counting? Haha. I'm over the heat, and enjoying the cooler mornings we are having here this weekend! I've got my fall colors lined up and this silk camisole is giving me all the feels! We went out to dinner last week and I wore this top and jeans for the occasion. I talked about my jeans in my previous blogpost, you can find it here if you missed it, but they are a "must-have" in the denim department. I've had a few people ask me about styling certain staple items different ways, and these are easily styled a million times over again! I actually think my Instagram feed is 50% these jeans at the moment, haha. My top is perfect for transitioning into fall! I love the color of it, and am contemplating buying the burgundy one too. In my opinion, you can never have too many pretty camis to layer underneath things. I also just picked up this one, (size up one size), the silk/lace trend is really catching my eye right now!

I spent the morning bridesmaid dress shopping with my girlfriend, Alex! She's getting married in Charleston as well! Other than that, this weekend consists of running errands, cleaning up the house, and as always - football for the hubby to be.

The Best Jeans for Fall

Happy Solar Eclipse Monday! Did you guys get to catch the action today!? I was working but our office stepped outside for a little bit to observe history in the making! Initially I didn't think I was going to be that interested in the Eclipse, however, I must admit it was pretty cool!

It's no secret that I love a good pair of jeans. But these my friends, are on another level good. This is my first pair of boyfriend jeans, ever. Shocking, I know. But at 5'8" with curves, I honestly did not think boyfriend jeans were going to be flattering on me. However, I saw these online at a few different retailers and couldn't resist the urge to try them while they were marked down to $58. To my surprise, they are hands down my favorite jeans for fall! They are a true "jean", so they don't have any stretch in them but they are much roomier than your traditional skinny jean. Shane said they look "comfy", if that helps describe the fit in any greater detail. I ordered a size 27 (pictured), and they fit perfectly everywhere, except the waist. Please note, I have to get almost all my pants taken in at the waist because as mentioned above, I'm curvy through the hips and rear. So this is nothing out of the ordinary. 

I ordered this sweater during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and have been waiting to post about it because it sold out immediately during the sale! Not to worry though, it's finally been restocked in all sizes and an additional color. I love the lattice back and bell sleeves, it adds a femine touch to an otherwise more masculine look. I also tucked the sweater in to give the outfit a little more shape! 

We spent the weekend in Asheville with Bailey Schwartz from Heres The Skinny and her husband. Thank you for all the reccomendations on places to eat and sight see! We had such a great time, and feel like we need to make another trip to tackle some of the other reccomendations we didn't make it to this go around, including Curate!

Hi friends! I wish you could insert emoji's into blogposts like you can in text messages, because I really wanted to insert the waving hand to say hello (haha)! I apologize for being a little MIA with my posts last week. Things were crazy busy between work, wedding planning, time for a social life etc. But, I'm back and today I'm talking about the cutest off the shoulder romper from Red Dress Boutique. If you haven't heard of RDB, you need to check it out. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite online boutiques (they didn't pay me to write this post, it's my honest opinion)! My sister actually asked me this weekend for a few online boutique reccomendations, and this was the first one on my list. I'm always on the hunt for quality pieces at affordable price points. Don't get me wrong, I love a good splurge occasionally, but in all reality most of us aren't made of endless amounts of money so affordable pieces are key. 

With fall quickly approaching, I'm making a shift towards "transitional" pieces - items that I can wear now, and later. For instance, right now I'd wear the romper as pictured. However, come fall I could easily throw a blush cardigan or duster over it and add booties to compensate for the cooler temperatures. Not to mention, florals are a big trend this fall! It's great quality and only $52. I actually rounded up some of my favorite transitional items to carry you into fall here. 

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent some time at the PGA Championship Friday, went to Winston Salem on Saturday with my girlfriend Bailey, and had friends over for dinner last night! Eventful weekend to say the least, but I'm blessed to be surrounded by such a wide variety of amazing people. And I know it's only Monday, but I'm already thinking about the weekend because we are headed somewhere super fun with another couple! Stay tuned.

There's nothing like waking up on a Monday to a terrential downpour outside, am I right!? That type of weather always makes me want to stay curled up in bed. So needless to say, I didn't make it to the gym this morning. Womp, womp. However, I do want to share this athletic gear with you because it is the bomb.com!

I've always been an avid fan of Carbon38 because they carry so many different brands of athletic wear outside of their own label. So when they approached me about the new Sayang Collection they were getting ready to launch, I was really excited to try it out! If you're looking for some serious fitness inspo, I highly reccommend checking out the coordinating lookbook via the link in my previous sentence. I was blown away by the intricate details on each piece, and the fact that you could easily recognize the thought that went into creating this collection. When I was growing up, you used to be able to find unique stores and clothing in different cities. Now, I feel like you see a lot of the same articles of clothing at each retailer across the US. So, I'm always on the hunt for those "special" items. Things that are unique, functional, and great quality. Something else I've learned to appreciate over time, is clothing with a meaning. Sayang actually means "love" in Bahasa, Indonesia and each panel is hand woven with braids or knots. With fall on the horizon, the earth toned inspired color palette also has me ready for cooler days! With that being said, I'd love to add this piece to my look to throw on over the top until I get to my workout. I have this weird thing where I can't leave the house without a zip up jacket, or pullover on if it's early in the AM, even mid summer. Anyone else do that? I think it has to do with the fact that it's not light out yet, and my body feels like it still needs to be in bed, ha! Long story short, the entire collection is worth every penny. I have both the beige and black pieces, and they're great quality! They fit TTS (I decided I liked the Medium better in the bottoms), the material is thick, and unlike a few other brands I've tried - this collection is not see through!
